A slimy throat can cause discomfort, so you feel like you need to clean your throat continuously. Sore throat, hoarseness, and cough can also accompany this condition. 1. Drink lots of water and warm nutritious soup

If left unchecked, the mucus in the throat will thicken and make you feel even more uncomfortable. Therefore, mucus needs to be diluted. One way is to increase drinking water. This method also helps the throat stay moist, so it feels more comfortable. Besides drinking water, soup or warm tea can also be an alternative.
